The Managing Successful Programs (MSP®) Practitioner Course provides an opportunity to learn how MSP can be applied to real live programs and prepares participants for the MSP Practitioner examination.
This level is aiming to confirm that a candidate has sufficient knowledge and understanding of the MSP guidance to act as an informed member of a program management team. That is, someone responsible for managing, leading, supporting or advising on work within an MSP environment.
The course covers all the main areas of the MSP® methodology
Defining a good vision statement
Creating a Brief of the Program and securing the mandate
Developing a Blueprint from the Vision Statement
Defining the Program and its projects, timeline, costs and benefits
Develop and maintain a Program Plan, Projects Dossier, and manage resources
Linking to strategic goals and planning how to realize benefits
Setting up the program organization and a Program Office
Develop and manage a business case througout the program
Analyzing and engaging with stakeholders
Coordinate and manage the program's projects, ensuring they are fit for purpose
Ensure quality and assure management that value is achieved
Proactively manage risks and resolve issues
The course will enable you to
Identify value of managing transformation as a program, and explain the MSP principles, governance themes, processes, documents, roles and how they all relate.
Pass the MSP® Practitioner exam.
Apply the MSP principles, governance themes and processes, produce or evaluate examples of MSP information (documents), identifying activities that should be undertaken during all of the MSP processes together with the accountabilities and responsibilities of the defined roles.
